St Andrews Voices
c/o Younger Hall
St Andrews Voices is Scotland’s only festival of vocal and choral music. It takes place each October in the magnificent setting of St Andrews on the Fife coast. The 2019 festival takes place from 17 – 20th October.
Launched in 2012 by Artistic Director Sonia Stevenson, ‘Voices’ has established its place in the Scottish musical calendar and is admired for its diverse programming, presenting some of the finest singers from the UK and beyond. Since 2012, we have welcomed Ian Bostridge, Voces8, Roderick Williams, The Sixteen, King Creosote, I Fagolini, Tenebrae Choir, John Mark Ainsley, Scottish Opera, Patricia Hodge and Twelfth Day among others.
As well as concerts and events, there are opportunities to get involved with the festival through our education programme. Singing can be good for your health by helping to reduce stress, release tension and improve blood circulation. Even attending live music events can elevate your mood. We provide opportunities for people to take part in singing workshops connected to the festival as well as developing longer-term outreach projects for people in Fife.
St Andrews is a uniquely beautiful, historic University town with a vibrant musical culture, unrivalled scenery and an international reputation as the home of golf. It continues to inspire us as we utilise its unique spaces and draw on its history to programme and present the festival.< Back to Members List
